Trails work party

I must say those Shelton High students and Shelton Trails Committee folks did a great job removing all the trash and debris from the trail being built along RT.108 yesterday.

Glad we called the rain date. Terry went there on 9:00 Saturday in case anyone showed up in the freezing cold blowing wet stuff, and sure enough, several groups of parents came in to drop their teens off. It was nice out yesterday afternoon. I think there was a total of close to 30 people involved, although not everyone was picking up trash. There was a lot of work digging in the trail. One teen found a nice horseshoe on a section we suspect was the old Shelton Turnpike back in the 1800s.

We had close to 30 people on Sunday and there was a “Trail Event” sign out and a pile of tools at the parking area. What time did you go, and exactly where did you go?
