Nice. I was just thinking about Bald Eagles yesterday while hiking the Paugussett. When nesting in Shelton, the two reported nest sites have been in more populated areas in South Shelton in spots that were being developed, yet we have lots of preserved open space to the north along the river where they aren’t nesting. Maybe they haven’t found the right tree, or maybe there are too many hikers? Or it’s too close to some other eagle’s territory? I have no idea, but it seems a bit ironic.
