I’ve inspected OS 5, located on Kazo drive just off of Rt 108 not far from the Trumbull town line. The one acre swamp appears to have been intended as a building lot before wetland regulations were enacted, but was left for last and was eventually acquired for backtaxes. Look at the old filed map…the adjacent corner lot that is identified as “all swamp” now is all upland with a house and yard!

Note that I have started up a notebook for my open space inspections that I will be bringing to our meetings and can pass around so you can see the status of the inspections.

You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Shelton Conservation Commission" group.Thanks. FYI…There was also an issue on the wooded section of OS 7 (Capewell Park). I checked in with Ron before sending out any letters and he said Conservation has no jurisdiction there and any issues should be forwarded to him. There was a pile of freshly cut spruce and pine branches 65 feet long and about 20 feet wide, plus other piles and some construction debris. There’s always something!
