I’ve attached before and after photos of a 20-ft-wide open space corridor between houses at Thoreau Drive that we had surveyed in 2018. This is where the Paugussett Trail passes between the houses and down a hill to enter Webb Mtn Park. The trail was previously not well-defined and hikers were nervous about what felt like trespassing onto a private lawn, with some turning back. After the survey, the neighbor to the north kept tampering with the trail and shifting it towards the other neighbor, so the Trails Committee installed a split-rail fence along his line, and I had also planted a few small shrubs and tree in the area that was lawn. That guy is still messing with the trail, but it’s much better than it was. Take a look at the photos.
