I was asked to pass this along to the Commission:
Hi Teresa,
I hope all is well! I am reaching out to invite you to attend the upcoming Urban and Community Forestry Peer Learning Exchange event.
About the event: This Urban and Community Forestry Peer Learning Exchange (PLE) is hosted by The Nature Conservancy, NVCOG, and partners. It is a great opportunity for local organizations, municipal staff, and community leaders to discuss forestry, find alignment between urban/community forestry and other local initiatives, share learnings and approaches, build connections, and advance transformative project ideas for the health and wellbeing of Connecticut residents (please see the attached flyer for more information).
Peer Learning Exchanges include:
*Speaking opportunity* - As a leader in the protection and care of your municipally owned trees, we invite you or a selected representative from Shelton to share a 2–5-minute presentation about your local community forestry work. These lightning round presentations are a great opportunity to showcase your work and connect with others engaged in urban forestry. You can sign up to attend and sign up for a lightning round presentation using the registration link.
We are trying to engage a robust network of individuals and organizations in the NVCOG region who are engaged in community forestry work or would be interested in learning more. Please feel free to share this invite with others that may be interested!
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Molly
Peer Learning Exchanges are an effort of the Connecticut Urban Forest Network initiative. If you are interested in discussing the larger Connecticut Urban Forest Network Project, please email Arcadia Davies (Urban Forest Network Manager) at arcadia...@tnc.org.
