Thanks .  That worked this time.  I have mixed feelings about our aborted effort at adopting a tree ordinance.  On the one hand I sympathize with those who would decry such an ordinance as yet another loss of private property rights.  On the other hand we have had some horrendous tree cutting atrocities in town over the last few years.  For the moment I am reconciled with the fact that each of the blatant instances should have been prevented [but weren't] by the regulations already in place such as wetlands & subdivision regulations.  The folder is still sitting on my back counter and the issue still simmers in my mind if the commission ever wants to revisit the issue.  Ed
