Dear all,

Last week I have been in contact with Maureen Abelardo from BDO Foundation.
BDO is planning to donate land to LGU's to be developed as a shelter site, as their contribution to the Typhoon response.

In the forwarded mail you will find more detailed descriptions of the sites.

My proposal is that organizations who are interested in potentially 'sheltering' one or more of these sites, indicate that to me before wednesday 9th December, so I can coordinate the interest, potential visits and questions.

BDO has indicated that it will take care of the contractual agreement with LGU's as soon as the LGU have committed to the development of the sites and humanitarian agencies have shared and committed plans for the shelter part and other facilities. Support of BDO in relating to the LGU's is appreciated.

I think we all should embrace this generous contibution of BDO and work in a well coordinated way.

Kind regards,

Onderwerp: Property Description

Mr. Jan-Willem Wegdam
Shelter Cluster Coordinator

Dear Jan,

We are emailing some  description of the properties that we have discuss as possible sites so you can do an inspection of the site.

Tanay, Rizal

Location:                                                                Sitio Balimbing, Barangay Aldea, Tanay. Rizal
Area:                                                                        50,427 square meters
Total number of lots:                                          1
Classification:                                                       Vacant lot (actual usage)
Brief description:
It is an interior lot without perpetual right of way.  The site is about 1km. from Tanay-Sampaloc Road, about 8 kms. from the National Highway and just 9 kms, from Tanay Town proper.

The property is located in an area where land development is a mixture of residential, agricultural and agro-industrial uses.  Notable landmarks within the vicinity are Alcantara Farms, Balimbing Elementary Schools and Our Lady of Black Madonna Chapel.

Antipolo, Rizal

Location:                                                               Lot 3-A, Barrio San Isidro, Antipolo,Rizal
Area:                                                                      6273 square meters
Total number of lots:                                         1
Classification:                                                     Agricultural (tax declaration), vacant lots (actual usage)
Brief description:
Based on submitted vicinity map and Assessor's Tax Mapping, the property is situated near the vicinity of former dumpsite of Antipolo City.  It is approximately 500 meters from Santana Village and just about 700 meters from C. Lawis Street.  The property is about 1.3 kms from Kingsville Hills Subdivision, 1.5 kms from Monte Oro Subdivision and approximately 2.4 kms. from the Circumferential Road.

The road leading to the vicinity is concretely paved but it turns macadam before reaching the former dumpsite.  After the Macadam road, a foot-rail down slopes will lead to the immediate vicinity of the property.

Montalban, Rizal

Location:                                                              Barrio San Isidro, Montalban, Rizal
Area:                                                                      20,107 sq.meters
Total number of lots:                                        80
Classification:                                                     Residential
Brief description:
The site is a little over 1 km. north-west of Montalban town proper.  It can be reached by vehicles through the national highway via Marikina-San Mateo and Lirag Textiles Company.  It could also be reached by a road separating Don Mariano Marcos Highway via Amityville Subdivision.

The site is located in an undeveloped subdivision wherein based on original subdivision plan the name of the project is Our Lady of Lourdes Subdivision.  Elevation and topography of the property permits an expensive planning and construction of roadways, drainage and sewerage system.

Thank you.
