Dear collegues,

Please your attention for the following request from the Early recovery cluster.
They would like to know, in what way we are currently incorporating ER activities in our response. Think of cash / food for work, training, relocation support, reusable materials etc.
Please provide me with concrete input, so I can inform them about this. Free format, so use SMS, Mail, phone whatever you like

Kind regards,

Onderwerp: Early Recovery Activities

Dear Colleagues,

At the request of the IASC the ER Cluster is preparing a position paper on Early Recovery. I am addressing in this message the Cluster Coordinators with copy to the Focal Points and kindly bear with  me if I am causing confusion.

Although I could provide many examples based on the exhaustive list of Early Recovery activities as provided in the CWGER Guidance Note (web link see below), I think it would be preferable if based on your experience with the floods, you could provide a short summary of the activities within your cluster that you would consider directly relate to Early Recovery programming. The reason I am requesting this is because we know that many of the clusters are doing ER related activities, but these elements are not very visible. I reiterate, the list does not have to be detailed. A short note will suffice.

At the same time this could be a good opportunity to list you Early Recovery concerns which are not sufficiently addressed or explicit.

Grateful if you send before Monday noon so I can prepare note for the regular Early Recovery Cluster afternoon meeting.

Warm regards, Richard
