Dear Shelter supporters,

I would like to invite you to the Shelter Cluster meeting on:

Thursday 26th November 2009, 10.00 - 11.30 am.

AGENDA

1. Welcome

2. Progress

- Minutes of last meeting can be downloaded from the Shelter websites.

- Verbal sharing of  progress and concerns per agency (KEEP IT SHORT)

- Developments in other clusters (Logistics, Early recovery, Education, Protection and WASH) and IM working group.

- Sharing observations from visits from SC to CAR, Zambales and Rizal.

- Information needs (we are looking for information about informal settlements)

3. Reporting and information management

- Decision making to adopt the 3W matrix for monitoring progress of the shelter activities bi weekly.

- This matrix will provide information from who is working where.

4. Update SAG meeting

- Sharing of the revised 'draft' strategy as proposed by the SAG (strategy advisory group) (see attachment)

5. Shelter Funding situation

- The shelter projects within the flash appeal did not receive much funding sofar. Shelter cluster is planning to issue a press release to address this issue and raise more funds.

- Agencies are invited to contribute to this press release. See sample from Bangladesh attached.

- SC is in touch with BDO bank for funding of shelter projects. Which agency is interested?

6. Information sharing meeting between government agencies (NHA, HUDCC, DSWD and others) and Shelter cluster,

- Sharing of the draft agenda of that meeting (will be handed out during the meeting)

  - Proposed date 8th December 2009.

7. Handover process IFRC - UN HABITAT

After the emergency phase UN HABITAT will take over the cluster coordination from IFRC. Sharing the ins and outs of the handover.

8. Evaluation Shelter Cluster 

SC has introduced a system in which it evaluated itself during the deployment. Attached 2 forms (leadership and assessment) are found. Please fill in before, during or after the meeting.
