I set up the Virtual appliance and followed the setup guide. Note:
the guide says to run dhclient lnc0, and then enter the web address
listed. The guide says to use http, when I had to access at https.

After finishing the setup at the given address, I rebooted the VM, and
when I try to login using the web interface under root or admin, I get
a Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage message and nothing
loads.

Any ideas?

Yes, it is the same idiot writing the documentation that is also
writing the code....

Try logging in as root locally and see if the command
svmNetworkSetup.sh, exists. Without booting one of my VMs, I believe
that it is located in /bin/. This should walk you through the setup
and get the network permanently configured.

I should have much more time on my hands once May comes around...I
hope...I can get all of the feature requests, bugs, and documentation
up to snuff and finally upgrade to OpenVAS 3.x.

Please let me know if there are any questions/problems.
