New
website for the People's Assembly
Today, the People's Assembly
have launched a new website. Please spread the word on
social media sites and check regularly for updates on
the event.
There are now over 1,000 registrations
and hundreds of organisations and trade union branches
have pledged their support.

This
month the cuts get even deeper and more vicious. The
introduction of the bedroom tax will force many
thousands of families, including those caring for
disabled relatives, below the poverty line.The benefits
cap means that for the first time in history, benefits
will rise below inflation. The NHS is effectively being
handed over to private companies, Disability Living
Allowance has been replaced with a restrictive and
unfair system, and thousands will lose access to legal
aid. This is a vile attack on the poorest in
society.
At the same time, 13,000 millionaires
will receive a £100,000 tax break with the scrapping of
the 50p tax rate for high earners.
We desperately
need a mass movement of millions of ordinary people that
can put a stop to this rotten government. This is what
the People's Assembly is about. Join us on 22
