Hi Folks,
As an ex-owner of a Std Cirrus, I'm a member of the Std Cirrus Owners'
Yahoo group (http://www.standardcirrus.org) and have been following
Jim Hendrix's experimentation on "de-turbulator's".
In particular the cheap modification of a 1/2 strip of Tessa capping
tape along the underside of the leading edge...

The above mod applies to the Wortmann wing sections used by the Cirrus
and similar era gliders (e.g Libelle?)
Anyone out there have access to CFD to see what effect a similar mod
would have on the Discus?

I think this deturbulator stuff is a bunch of snake oil.
