I'm planning to do another SHDC on Saturday 29th September.

If you are interested in coming, reply here so I can email you details
of the venue (my house) nearer the time.

See you then!

I'm interested :) I've got several projects on the go including a
power supply and analogue-to-digital converter; and I can bring a
scope from work...

Cheers

I'm certainly up for it again!

I spent the rest of my weekend tweaking the oscilloscope. My current plan is to use a PWM to generate a reference signal, and short this to an interrupt-triggering input pin so I can count ticks fairly accurately (and independently of the scheduler I created for timed-function firing). Then I ought to be able to increase the accuracy from -/+5% to something better. Then I'll go analogue and see if it accurately measures sine waves (which I can get winamp to output (or could back at v1, I don't know if the current version can).

I also measured the circumference of my bike wheel (204cm), so this project of mine is actually beginning to take shape.

Hi Simon,

Missed the second one too - travelling back from Wales. Hoping to make #3. Is it OK just to turn up? What does everybody else bring? I have no laptop so makes tinkering in the field difficult.

How many people in the club now?

I'm interesting in this too. And I can bring a real 'scope. Not as
much fun as making one on the fly i know.... ;-)

All I need now is a pet project, I am sure I can come up with
something...

Cheers,
Chris

I don't need the scope any, btw. :-) I successfully found out how to make my screen's backlight light, and destroyed it while testing how bright it could get... I was expecting that to happen really. Interestingly when you run it at stupidly high voltage it starts to have a green tinge to the light coming from it...

However, my little oscillascope project wasn't a waste: I'm building on it as a way of measuring time between interrupts (to eventually get ground speed from my bike wheel).
