There needs to be a law charging gun owners for not locking up their firearms!  Having 3 stolen with a large sum of cash from an unlocked vehicle should raise eyebrows.

Good morning,

I want to let yall know we will be holding our next Coffee with Cops next week on Tuesday Feb 17th at Starbucks located in Stonecrest shopping center, 7922 Rea Rd, from 0830 – 1030.  If you would like to come out talk with us or have any questions/concerns you want to talk about in person we will be there.

Please continue to utilize the crime prevention tips below.!!  PLEASE lock your cars and remove anything that looks of value..!!  Also remember, although it is a hassle, the safest way to mail any outgoing mail that contains personal information, money, checks, gift cards, is to take it INTO the post office and drop it off to the mail slots INSIDE.  I do not suggest using the blue USPS boxes as those have been known to be broken into.

ALSO, I wanted to let everyone know about an event being held next month. CMPD Chief Patterson along with other command staff members will be hosting a ‘Let’s Talk About It’ event on Thursday March 5th from 6:00p – 7:30p at St. Matthew Catholic Church (8015 Ballantyne Commons Pky).   The flyer is attached to this email, and they will address the group and take questions.  I have been asked to get a ROUGH count on any community members that plan to attend the event.  You are NOT obligated to keep your response BUT if you think you will attend this event, just shoot me a quick email so we can get a rough guesstimate on how many citizens may show up. 😊

As always PLEASE let me know if you have any questions or concerns…!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend..!!

Brian
