Arvind,

 

With 9 teams in each group of the league, 1 team in each group (A & B) inevitably will need to provide umpires 2 times during the playoff games.

Based upon how the knock-out phase works, it has to be one of the teams from the bottom of the league (7^th, 8^th, or 9^th seeded in each group).

 

Ahead  of time (middle of the regular season when the initial announcement was made), this was picked (at random) to be whichever team is seeded as #8.

 

In Group A, it happens to be Challengers.

In Group B, it happens to be Sharon.

Guys - What are the rules for providing the neutral umpires ? Sharon CC had provided the neutral Umpire for the Eliminator round (MCC2 vs Maruti). Do we need to provide the Umpire for the QFs?

Please clarify.
