Subject: Question about Qualification
To: Arvind Kaul <kau...@gmail.com>

Hi Arvind,

This rule is defined in our rule book. Rule # 3.

  1. Team seeding: If two teams are tied on the number of points, then the following rules apply to determine who goes ahead in the table:

3.1  Results against each other are taken into consideration, and the team with the maximum number of wins against each other will go ahead.

3.2  If rule 3.1 cannot result in a winner, then the team with the maximum number of wins in the league will go ahead

3.3  If rules 3.1 and 3.2 cannot determine the winner, then the team with a better Net Run Rate (NRR) will go ahead. NRR is calculated as follows:

NRR = (Total Runs Scored / Total Overs faced) – (Total Runs conceded / Total overs bowled)

3.4  If none of the above rules can determine a winner, then the winner will be decided with the toss of a coin (This is very unlikely).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Ganesh

Subject: Question about Qualification

Hi Ganesh - In  case 2 teams are tied on points, What would take precedence - NRR or head to head winner ?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Arvind
