Here is the rough plan for our first hike of 2014..
Leave Sharon on 13th September (Saturday) at about 6:30am- Reach Mount Monadnock Sate Park at about 8:30am.
- Start the hike latest by 9:00am
- We will be doing the White Dot Trail or the Marlboro Trail. The White Dot trail is the most popular one while Marlboro trail is slightly more strenuous. The good thing irrespective of whichever trail we take it is still just an elevation of about 1800 feet as compared to 4166 feet when we did Mount Washington. Also the distance is about 1.66 miles as compared to 4.16 miles. But the bad part is there are no vehicles bringing us down.
- Return latest by 5:00pm
- Back Home by 7:00pm
You can find more information about the trails at Mount Monadnock at Mount Monadnock - America's Favorite MountainSome of the essential things we would need for the hike
- A good pair of hiking shoes. Sneakers won't do.. Extra pair of Socks

- Warm Clothing including gloves/mittens
- Flashlight
- Matches/Lighters
