Hi,

For those who are looking at ways to support the networking of research activities about the sharing/collaborative economy, the COST program may be an opportunity to explore (if not already the case): http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions

Is anyone aware of an effort to develop a sharing/collaborative economy COST Action? Or maybe an existing COST Action?

That would open possibilities for funding networking activities like symposium, research stays, and so on...

Hi, all,

I'm on a proposal for a COST action about the collaborative economy that was submitted last spring, so there's at least one ongoing effort to make use of this opportunity. We're still waiting to hear back but if we are lucky enough to get the funding, you can count on us reaching out to this crowd, too! Fingers crossed!

Also, for all I know, there haven't been any prior ones, though some related actions exist, such as this one on virtual work that is about to close but might be of interest to some of you: http://dynamicsofvirtualwork.com/

Hello everybody,

Let me introduce myself: I am the chair of the COST action CA16121- From Sharing to Caring: Examining the Socio-Technical Aspects of the Collaborative Economy.

You will find there a link to our mailing list, Twitter and Facebook page, and under "Activities" you will find the events we are organising during the first year of the action. If you want to participate in workshops, STSMs or Training Schools, the mailing list will keep you up to date with these as they happen.

We are organising a COST workshop on August 28 in Sheffield UK. The deadline for expressions of interest is 30 June. Details here:
