How can we find a faster solution? I mean I know what the problem is,
but I cannot solve it.. Where can we get some help?

I myself search in http://en.wikipedia.org/ most of the times I don't
know how to find a faster solution. but usually I don't stick to a
problem very much cuz there are many easy problems I can solve by
myself. we can also help each other :)

you would come to classes and ask your TAs or me. There isn't any standard way for doing this. you may use your mathematical background and find the solution. searching the internet would help you too.

unfortunately when we ask our TAs they usually refuse to help us &
give us some answers like "u should find out urself" or "if I answer
ur question, I would solve the whole problem for u, so I won't answer
u!"
I'm so much worried about my project and all.. & when I ask others
about how they wrote their codes, they say they have some other people
outside the classes helping them.. Do I need to find someone somewhere
too, or what?!

I know that there are many students having problems. It is important
for some of you to have good assistance during your first steps of
programming. unfortunately in sharif university they didn't put much
attention to what students really need, (they think that it is the
student's obligation to learn whatever taught in the classroom), so
they don't feel they should do something in some major cases. In
another countries they pay TAs enough money, so they don't feel they
are wasting their time doing this. the encourage the students to
become TA, and paying money, they want from TAs to do their job
completely. So, don't be mad of your TAs, maybe someday you will be a
TA yourself and can imagine their situation better. The problem with
your department, university, country, anything but your TAs. (the
computer lab which I wanted to hold exercise classes still is not
ready to use. that's awful!) So try to ask as few as possible
questions from them and be thankful if they gently answered you.
however some of them want to help you but they can't answer you in a
correct way.
I think that your best source of information is your friends. Try to
talk with your friends about the problems. try to be in contact with
better students.
I will talk to your TAs and will explain them to answer your questions
whether it solves the problem.

The other thing you can do is to post your questions to this group. I
encourage every one to answer to the questions, It will be a good
point in your final mark if I see that you are helping your friend.
(by helping I mean that teaching them how to fish, not just fishing
for them.) So, ask your questions here, that's a good solution to this
problem.
