Risk management in IT projects

Hi All,

I would like to share with you a new up-coming talk next month on Feb 9th at 10 AM. 

Simon Odermatt started his work as a firmware programmer. In the last 9 years he was project leader, business analyst, team leader and finally business leader of an IT consulting company. Simon is travelling in the region including Cambodia. We requested him to give a talk during his visit to Cambodia and we are fortunate to have him confirmed to our request. Risk management in IT projects

 

Description:

Every project faces a certain amount of risk. How should we act with them? This talk covers the following points:

·        General Introduction to risk management

·        Definition: What is a risk?

·        Classification of risks

·        Action plan

·        Risk management process

·        Questions

 

About Simon:

Currently, I’m travelling around for 1 to 2 years, mainly in Asia, at the end maybe in Africa.

I love to get know new cultures, people and like to travel off the beaten tracks.

However, before this travel I had to work as well ;-)

2007 – 2012:      Business Unit Leader of  a software consulting company (ERNI www.erni.ch): Responsible for 15 employees, acquisition of new customers and projects, consultant and engineer in topics such as project management, business analyse, requirements engineering

1998 – 2007:      In a security company (www.securiton.ch) I worked in several rolls such as HW developer, firmware developer, software developer, project leader, team leader, head of department

1997 – 1998:      HW-Engineer for railway components

1996 – 1997:      HW-Engineer for electronic car engines

 

Education:

2012:                   EMBA in Innovation Management

2007:                   Degree in Business Economics

2002:                   Degree in Software Engineering

1996:                   Bachelor in Electrical Engineering

Several certificates in project management and business analyse/modelling.
