Need cognos developer local to TX-Interview are this week only

 

Need local candidates (or at least ones who can interview face to face in the next couple days).  Must be h1b for us to do c2c.

Dallas fort worth area

1 year contract

 

Must-haves

- You must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Cognos 8.4 and Cognos 10.1 tools, including but not limited to:
Framework Manager – must know how to create relational models using best practices; DMR experience is a plus
o Report Studio – this includes creating new reports, maintaining existing reports and troubleshooting performance and design-related issues
o Transformer – create new models and cubes using a variety of data sources available in Cognos 8.4 and Cognos 10.1
o Metric Studio and Event Studio experience a plus
• Strong SQL skills are required for development of custom SQL and reporting views
• Good verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail are essential
• Must be able to work independently and manage one’s time effectively
• Basic mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback to end-users not familiar with Cognos
-Bachelors degree in related field

 

Plusses

 

 

Day-to-Day

You will interact with business unit users for requirement gathering and development process
You will use Cognos Framework Manager to build models, packages and publish packages
You will Use Cognos Report Studio to develop standard and complex reports
You may be required to use Cognos Transformer to create cubes based on business requirements and create the related drill-through reports
You will act as point-of-contact for Cognos consumers within the business unit; coordinate with in-house BI team for deployments and central communications
You will mentor other developers for support of newly created reports
You will Create technical specifications and documentation
You must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English; may be required to make presentations to end-users at all levels within the business
