POSITION: Cognos BI Developer

 

LOCATION: Costa Mesa, CA

 

DURATION: 12 Months

 

 

DESCRIPTION:

 

BI Developer is responsible for development in Cognos Business Intelligence

environment and all aspects of data warehouse reporting.

 

 Work as part of a team to deliver federated dimensional model for growing

online consumer subscription service.

 

 Play key role in development data by using Cognos tools through development

of BI framework with focus on self service.

 

 Participate in requirement definition, solution development and

implementation phases of data warehouse and reporting projects.

 

 Implement Cognos FM, cube, and report development to support business user

to identify opportunities for improvement in operations and processes.

 

 Create and maintain Cognos specifications and process documentation to

produce the required reporting and analytic deliverables.

 

 Assist in definition of logical and physical data models B2C ecommerce

business.

 

 Configure and tune FM infrastructure to optimize the reporting performance

 

 Troubleshoot and resolve data, system issues and performance issues.

 

 

MUST-HAVE SKILLS: 

 

Business analysis

 

5+ years Cognos BI Administration, FM Modeling, Report and Cube Development

 

SQL coding

 

 

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

 

SQL Server 8 SSIS
