I need a Senior Oracle DBA to start work on Monday (5/28/2012) in Providence, RI. The Oracle DBA that will be hired MUST HAVE extensive Oracle Standard Edition experience and excellent communications skills. Please do not send me candidates that have only Oracle Enterprise Edition experience.

Oracle Database Administrator

Our client in Rhode Island is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with the following experience:

Candidate will play a critical role and be the go-to resource in managing existing Oracle database systems and installing new database systems. The candidate will also be expected to work with engineering team to optimize database storage and queries as system requirements continue to evolve.

· Install, manage and maintain Oracle and non-Oracle production systems, as well as non-production systems in Development and Test environments

· Extensive Experience with Standard Edition Oracle 10g/11g RDBMS Troubleshooting , database architecture, RMAN backups, Crash Recovery, Performance Tuning, Maintenance

· Strong analytical skills, problem solving, communications and customer skills

· Experience with Linux/Solaris operation systems/servers

· SQL and Unix scripting skills preferred

· OCP 11g Certifications a plus
