Riverview School   Riverview Community, I am writing to share a very exciting update following our Board of Trustees Meeting on Friday. Riverview has been searching for land, in addition to our amazing campus in East Sandwich, to support strategic priorities and expand our programming so that belonging to the Riverview community doesn’t have to end at 22 years old. We all know that families find this safe harbor at Riverview, and then many experience “falling off a cliff” when they graduate. The school has talked for decades about this need and has always determined that we just didn’t have the resources to address it. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Riverview School has received the largest philanthropic donation in its history from an anonymous donor that will allow us to purchase land to support identified strategic priorities, develop a post-GROW program, and strengthen Riverview in important and lasting ways. Riverview is now under contract to purchase a 40-acre parcel of land in Hyannis — the Twin Brooks Golf Course. We will begin land planning work to determine how this property can best be used to further Riverview’s expanded mission. This is one of the most exciting times in Riverview’s history; we can only begin to dream about how transformative this will be, and the impact it will have on so many.
