I am new to SharePoint, and am in the process of rolling out a new
(standalone) server which will be using SharePoint. Configuration is
Windows 2008 Server with WSS 3.0. The problem I'm running into is
that we would like to allow the users of this machine to change their
passwords themselves, however we would prefer NOT to add it do our
domain. Thus it would need to change the local users account
passwords. Does anyone know a way to accomplish this? SharePoint
only seems to include it if Active Directory is running.
If there is now way to do it without adding Active Directory Rights
Management, what is the simplest way to add it to the domain without
integrating it to our internal users groups?
