Hello all...

Hoping you all can help me figure this out. Our organization is in the
process of going "paperless". Toward that end I've been recreating all
of our internal paper forms with InfoPath and SharePoint workflows.
(Office 2007 and MOSS)

We started out with automatic task emails being generated. However, I
keep hearing the complaints that there's not enough information in the
emails and that too many mouse clicks are required to get to the
approval stage.

What the managers want is to know some details from the form, without
actually having to open the form, before approval. Quite by accident I
stumbled upon a way to put the direct link to the "Edit Item" window
in the task list into an email. (Reduces two mouse clicks) This made
me wonder, can I also include data from the form into a workflow-
generated email?

The idea is to allow the manager to see in the email who the form
originator is (who's requesting leave, a purchase req, professional
development credit etc), what the form is (Leave Request, Purchase
Req, Professional Development, TimeSheet, etc), and what they are
approving (dates of leave, type of leave, hours of leave for
instance).

The forms are published in SharePoint as Content Types with all fields
available.

Any information... directions, blog postings, books, whatever that
will help me figure this out would be appreciated.
