Mapping columns is a simple 3-step process and is elaborated below:

1.       While migrating with dSHIFT Migrator, just drag-n-drop the list at source that you wish to migrate to target, right-click on this list which will be highlighted at the target pane, and choose “Map Content Types” option. This will display all the content types that can now be mapped based on the content types of that particular list. All the content types on the source and target will be displayed in this first screen.

2.       Next step is to select the columns that you wish to map by clicking on the “Columns” button and it will load all the columns associated with the chosen content type. Select the columns that you wish to map, and you can also click on “Auto Map” button to automatically map the columns at source with the similar ones at the target list.

3.       Hit “OK” and then begin with your migrations and once migration is complete, all of these selected columns will be mapped on the target list.
