New app with ShareDB

Hi team,

I hope you are doing well. I'm a new engineer, I just finished a bootcamp a few months ago. I started to build a side-project. While my v0 works well, I need to add collaboration in my tool. That's why I started to look for Operational Transformations.

I naturally discovered Sharejs/ShareDB.

While it seems fantastic, for a new engineer like me it seems a little bit difficult to start with.

FYI, I run my app with Nodejs (with express and Mongoose) for the backend, Reactjs for the front end, and Mongo DB as a database.

Would it be possible to leverage ShareDB/sharejs with browser channel? How should I start?

Yes, it's possible to leverage ShareDB with React.

Start from these examples for setup: https://github.com/share/sharedb/tree/master/examples/counter

Browserchannel is old school. Folks usually use WebSockets nowadays, as in the examples.
