thin green lines on my Garmin

I've just driven through Yass (twice) and someone has been happily
tracing goodness-knows-what onto OSM (pre Feb) or fosm (in which case
would be more recent)
There are thin green lines next to roads, across paddocks, sometimes
both sides of the road and sometimes one side.
They may have been intended to be lines of trees, but there aren't
always trees there, and sometimes there is a fence, and sometimes
scattered trees like uncleared land.
I haven't looked to see what they have been tagged as, but my
impression is armchair mapping without a trip out to see what is there,
possibly old aerial imagery and fire has removed some of the stuff on
the photomap.
