Helping fire fighters...

I just witnessed an interested situation, there was/is a grass fire
near town, but the fire fighters couldn't figure out how to get to it,
so they've gone down at least 3 different ways trying to figure out
who's paddocks connect to the one that the fire is in.

What I'm getting at is it would be good to map farm fences and gates
etc then the emergency services could ask a program to tell them, not
only which road is the best to access by, but how many gates etc as
well.

Sadly I know this point is asinine; but Sensis data imported into
Google maps largely interprets fence lines as actual streets.

I'll freely admit I am ashamed by this as well.

Yup, That's the primary reason for CommonMap.
The idea is to collect and manage all of the Official government
datasets that can be aquired, and where there are errrors, the
objective is to help the Official government datasets be better.
