Check out the latest

Now I can find your friends!

I think the next step is to save them off somewhere, keyed off your email or google id, so people can join sharebro and save their list just in case Google shuts it off. I can also grab some other feeds while I'm at it but the friend network seems most vital.

I also think the best place to put this junk is CouchDB. It's nested JSON and I'm not sure what I'll need to do with it; seems like a perfect fit. I have some experience with Couch from a recent project.

I've got it grabbing and saving your user info and friends list. I need to do a bit more config work before rolling it out but stay tuned!

OK, now your personal info and your friends list (including followers and followees) are saved in a cloud database.

Next I will make it less ugly and more functional. But even now it's a good idea to go visit the site. Who knows when they will turn off the friends api!

Worked just fine for me. cool stuff.
Good you included lipsumarium feeds.
I'd like to join lipsumarium datas so we could know if a user is using lipsumarium feeds already or not.
a quick way would be for me to export, say every hour of so some file with only the user ids. you could pull it from lipsumarium.com every hour too
so you can match and assure user their friend already has lipsumarium feed and if not, an invite link maybe ?
