I'm at a large community meeting in east oakland now, the city is launching a new planning process for 3 years of effort to develop a TOD plan for all of International Blvd. It's an old school process, maps on tables approach. But the online engagement and feedback is likely going to be negligible.
Is anyone interested in exploring setting up an instance of Shareabouts that we could make available to the city/community to aid in feedback and community ideation for this project? It's Django and Python. We can host on our AWS or on our Heroku or OpenShift account.
It doesn't really fit with opendata day as a project, but whatever. Anyone interested that can contribute to this idea? It's one of those apps that has a zero to live in less than an hour pitch, but as with Adopta I can't verify that ;-)
