Hi, I have a shapercube 2.0, upgraded to shapercube 2.1 with both the improved z-axis and the metal extruder.  Everything works great, except for one thing.

I've been trying for a week now to print with 3mm PLA, from reprapsource.  After extruding say 10-15cm, the filament blocks in the hot end.  I have no idea what to do different.  I've tried fast, I've tried slow filament feed, it always just blocks.

Is ABS easier?

How do I get a replacement hot-end?  Is there a better design?

I need some help here as my wife is making those "this is a waste of time" looks...

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Same problem here with PLA.
If anybody knows a procedure or settings to get this to work I would like to know as well.

ABS however is no problem with the recommended settings, so using it will almost certainly fix your wifes problem ;-)

Regards,

Danny
