New Nozzle extruder design for ShaperCube 2.1

I have received the kit to build the Version 2.1. From the
buildingmanual it appears that the design of the geared extruder is
different from what is shown in the manual.
Will the manual be updated accordingly.
What is the purpose of the brass-cup between the nozzle and mounting
bracket?

The building plans show that the brass cup is used as a heat sink.

Thanks for your information.
I am aware of the shaper cube wiki.
In the original design the extruder was mounted to the carriage using
distance bolts.
Apparently due to the copper heater sink, the Extruder can be mounted
directly to the carriage.
The kit doesn't supply the short distance bolts, but strangely enough
I found four plastic distance bolts with M3 thread instead, which
seems to be intended to mount the extruder to the the carriage.
I suppose that these distance parts are obsolete.

I,m intrested in this new? design.
Does it works?
I have a old type hot end, up to now i was not ble to print anything
which can be used. Now have my second hot end, and still no results.
It seems to me that the hot end will not be able to melt enough
material
in the needed time, so the output volume is far to low.
I used all kind of settings in extruder speed, retrack actions,
temperature settings
But none of these will result in good printing.
So i,m intrested in this new consept.
