the doc hosting has been discontinued:
<https://github.com/typelevel/general/issues/18>.

You can use javadoc.io as an alternative:
<https://javadoc.io/doc/com.chuusai/shapeless_2.12/2.3.2>

FYI, this mailing list is deprecated in favour of shapeless's (or
typelevel's) gitter channel(s),

To answer your question, the docs on typelevel.org were taken down in
favour of the docs that are published from Maven Central via
javadoc.io, on the grounds that the latter are versioned and published
concurrently with the corresponding binary artefacts. For the latest
shapeless docs see,
