I have a map with two shapefiles each has 8 counties outlined in
different colors. I need to export into one kml file. Any help will
be appreciated.

I would say you are going to have to merge the two shapefiles into one
shapefile using ArcGIS or MapWindow GIS first, then you can export the
one file into kml.

I have merged 5 shape files together hoping that when I convert them to KML they would show the labels separately.
After I convert it just seems to show all labels at any given piece of the kml.
Any ideas on how I can keep the file merged but show labels separately depending on how they were labeled before I merged?
