Job Title: QA Engineer @ Revolutionary Company!
Description: Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is verification of the
functionality of pre-production versions of the Revolution Health
portal in a test environment. The day to day responsibilities include
gathering requirements from cross functional team meetings, authoring
test plans and test cases, executing tests cases, writing and
executing automated tests, developing API level tests for web services
and writing defect reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop, publish, and implement test plans.
* Write, run, and maintain automated tests for GUI and API level
testing.
* Develop quality assurance standards.
* Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect stats and
software performance related stats.
* Write quality defect reports and manage defect life cycle through
the development process.
Skills and Competencies:
* Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
* Highly organized with the ability to plan and accomplish goals
independently.
* Must be comfortable with a fast paced environment in which deadlines
can be tight and ever-changing.
* Clear verbal and written communication skills.
* Detail oriented with solid organizational skills.
* Prior experience writing code in a high-level programming language
such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Perl, or Python.
* Experience with automated regression test development using xUnit,
Selenium, and/or Watir.
* Good practical working knowledge of Windows, Linux and Web server
environments.
* Prior experience with Bugzilla or some other form of bug-tracking
tool.
Preferred Work Experience:
* Experience coding with Ruby on Rails or a familiarity with this
framework.
Education:
* A college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other
technical discipline is preferred; however, in lieu of such,
equivalent work experience is sufficient.
