衡山路Melting Pot 的最后一夜

 

因为经营成本沉重，Melting Pot决定结束其衡山路店，好把资源集中在泰康路店，本周四（12月30日）将是衡山路Melting Pot的最后一个摇摆之夜。欢迎大家都来为摇摆上海每周四的摇摆舞会画下一个热闹的句点。

 

从2011年1月开始，我们的活动改在每周一及周六在泰康路举行。周一晚泰康路Melting Pot将有精彩的蓝调音乐，那也是上海许多职业音乐家“下班”后聚集同乐的时候。许多音乐家也是我们熟悉的，也许我们的出现会激发他们演奏摇摆乐的兴致！

× 征求志愿者：1月8日有许多人会在香港参加Hong Kong Swing Festival，包括我们的DJ Akiko，需要有人负责音乐以及招呼可能的来访客人。愿意担任当天DJ及“主任”的人请来信shangh...@gmail.com联系。

× 新一期的基础班将在2月26日开始，报名请来信shanghais...@gmail.com.

× 在新的常态性课程开始之前，每个周六我们将有特定主题的小研习营。本周的主题是团体舞Shim Sham。如果你还没有学过或者还不是很熟悉Shim Sham 的舞步，这是学习、复习的好机会。Shim Sham 是由一些基本的爵士舞步组成，即使从来没有学过摇摆舞的人也可以学习这个最普遍的团体舞。（2个小时的课程每人收费50元，包括一杯软饮料或水。）

Last Dance at Heng Shan Road Melting Pot

 

With increasing cost for running the business, Melting Pot decided to close down it’s Heng Shan Road branch in order to focus it’s resources on Tai Kang Road Branch. This Thursday (Dec. 30) will be the last Swing Night at Heng Shan Road Melting Pot. Come out to dance and enjoy the great swing music played by the the Keepers of Swing.

 

From January, 2011, our week-day social will be changed to every Monday at Tai Kang Road Melting Pot. Melting Pot’s Monday Blues Night is favored by many professional musicians to come jamming “after work”. We are familiar with many of them. Hopefully the precense of swing dancers will inspire them to play more swing music.

× Volunteer(s) needed：On Jan. 8, many dancers, including our regular DJ Akiko-san, will be attending Hong Kong Swing Festival. We will need volunteer(s) to DJ at the social party and make the visiting dancers feel welcome. If you are up to the tasks, please contact us at shangh...@gmail.com

× Before the new regular classes, we will hold mini-workshop every Saturday from 1pm with different topics every week start with the popular group dance Shim Sham this Saturday. If you haven’t learnt Shim Sham before or are not yet familiar with the steps, this is a perfect opportunity to learn and review. Shim Sham consists of many basic jazz steps, even you have never learnt swing dancing before, you can still come and learn this fun and most popular group dance. (We charge Rmb50 for this 2-hour class. One soft drink or water is included.)
