Hi Everyone,
It has been a while since we started the Machsom Lfi, and Baruch Hashem, we have seen Yeshuos. May we continue to see many more!
We would like to restart the Machsom Lfi to give every one a chance to renew their commitment and accountability. It's always a good idea to have Hischadshus (renewal). From now on, we will try to renew it every 40 days, so we can feel like we've reached a new goal each time.
I'm sending out a new spreadsheet to sign up for the Machsom Lfi. You will only be considered part of the Machsom Lfi if you sign up AGAIN, even if you were part of it from the beginning. You can sign up for the same hours or new hours. We will be covering waking hours, from 7 AM to 1 AM.
Please write names for whom everyone can daven for shidduchim.
Responsibilities for being part of the Machsom Lfi include: 1) Saying a verbal acceptance before your hours 2) Not speaking Lashon Hara during your hours 3) Learning two halachos of Shemiras HaLashon a day 4) Saying a Tefilah to be protected from speaking Lashon Hara. Although this may sound overwhelming, in actuality everything besides the actual hours takes about 5 minutes, and is very doable once you make it part of your routine.
Every week, someone from the Machsom Lfi will have a turn to choose a name for whom that week the Machsom Lfi will be in their zechus. That person can also post a shidduch resume in case people might have ideas.
Please consider making this investment in your life in this world and the next. Shemiras HaLashon is a tremendous opportunity to tap into spiritual treasures that you didn't know existed. Shemiras HaLashon also builds relationships instead of destroying them. Whether you are married or not, we all know how delicate relationships are and how at any stage, we must continue to invest in them. We also know how one negative word can affect a relationship In the zechus of Shemiras HaLashon, may we all be Zoche to build relationships with the right one at the right time, in the right way!
Thank you and Tizku L'Mitzvos!
