I would like to tell you about my website, http://www.sound.net/~bbecker. It
is dedicated to Rose Leis, and "A Ferdroysiger Hart", her unpublished
Yiddish autobiography. Rose Leis came from Slutsk, in the Minsk Gubernye,
and emigrated to New York in 1902. Her story is, in some ways, typical of
how so many of our ancestors came to America and in many other ways, so
unique. It is a story of love and hate, kindness and cruelty, and overcoming
over hardship. She writes in a creative style with humor and irony.

I have nothing to sell. This is a labor of love, not profit. Rose Leis was
my grandmother. The complete manuscript is there, printed in Yiddish, for
the enjoyment of all can and want to read it. It is also about half
translated into English, and I add the English pages as soon as I get them.
There is no sign-up, membership, or password requirement.

I invite you to enjoy the site and tell me what you think. All I ask is a
little feedback. Please click on the Comments link in the site and tell me
what you think. I also would be grateful if you share message this with any
Yiddish reading friends who might enjoy reading it.

I think you'll find "A Ferdroysiger Hart" an interesting read. Enjoy.

Thank You,

Bob Becker
