I am interested in finding out information about the origins of the Yiddish
song
Momele.
As far as I know it was first performed as an English song called Mother
Dear,
Pray For Me by Alex Alstone. Does anyone know the English version? I would
be very interested to find out the lyrics.
Also, is the melody a folk song? If not, when was it composed?
