BARAK ATTACKS JEWISH RADIO STATION: ARUTZ 7

The December 28th brutal attack in Israel by the elite anti-terrorist police
unit (YAMAM) against Arutz Sheva (7), the only radio station in Israel
speaking out against withdrawal from the Golan may expose a bigger truth. In
effect, Atty. Gen. Elaykim Rubenstein, a long time foe of the Right and
representing the political Left, set in motion what can only be described as
a deliberate and calculated police riot. The so-called raid could have been
conducted with a handful of police but, instead, they showed up with more
than 200 well-armed elite police plus a segment of police terrorist scouts.
This was a police action that one might expect in Russia or Kosovo - not in
the democratic State of Israel. Several people were injured and one young
man had his hand broken.
The attacking policemen illegally removed their name tags as they broke up
equipment, none of which was connected to radio transmission. In a wild
melee they clearly intended to insure that, even if the court order was
rescinded, Arutz 7 would be unable to broadcast against Barak's planned
evacuation of the Golan Heights.
The Barak Government, through Attorney Gen. Elaykim Rubenstein secured a
court order for the raid with misleading information, falsely claiming that
Arutz 7 was interfering with aircraft radio signals. This was proven to be a
lie almost a year ago and was confirmed as a deliberate deception of the
Court now to obtain the Court order. Deputy Minister of Education Sha'ul
Yahalom (former Minister of Transportation) said that there is not one iota
of truth to the police allegations that Arutz 7's broadcasts ever disturbed
airport radio transmissions.
Perhaps it's just as well that the wild hostility and frustration of the
Barak Government surfaced when it did. It revealed Barak's intentions and
the weakness of his position for the planned Golan withdrawal. The timing
was also telling since Barak, Clinton and a Syrian representative are to
meet in Shepherdstown, West Virginia starting January 3rd.
Silencing Arutz7 at this critical time was as important for Barak as it was
for Clinton. This betrays the Barak Government's desperate attempts to
violate Israeli law and override the convictions of a large majority of its
citizens that the proposed Golan surrender is national suicide.
Because the Government would not license an independent radio station until
last year when the Knesset voted to license them, Arutz 7 has always
broadcast from a ship outside of Israel's territorial waters. However,
because the law has not yet been implemented, Arutz 7 prudently kept the
ship operational in anticipation of such an event as this. The police,
Rubenstein and Barak tried to silence Arutz 7 by raiding its communications
and computer center in the town of Beit El. Because the ship maintained
their independence, Barak's raid failed. However, the raid itself exposed
Barak's desperation.
Let us not forget a similar, illegal raid conducted under Rabin and Peres by
Shulamit Aloni, a radical of the Leftist Meretz Party, who was then
Communication Minister. Aloni conducted an illegal police raid on the Arutz
7 ship when it came into port for refueling and repairs during a Jewish
holiday when the ship would not be broadcasting. Then, as they did December
28th, the police smashed and confiscated delicate equipment. The Court found
the raid illegal, ordered the return of the equipment and compensation paid.
The equipment was not returned nor did the Rabin/Peres Government pay for
the damages. Presently, Atty. Gen. Rubenstein, through a Court linked very
closely with Government policies, has 40 separate costly hearings pending
against Arutz 7 which are intended to bankrupt Arutz 7 while simultaneously
keeping their staff tied up in Court.
There is every indication of collusion between Barak and Clinton to push
through as a 'fait accompli ' the complete withdrawal by Israel from the
Golan Heights. It is expected that the Shepherdstown negotiations will be a
theatrical farce where Barak will be in closed door sessions with frequent
leaks to the press which will speak of the difficult struggle.
Clinton will be called in to create the show of pressure on Barak. Clinton
will arrive in a helicopter with great fanfare. The cameras will be
recording that familiar look of wrinkled chin determination. He will
disappear behind the closed doors - only coming out to say the negotiations
are continuing but they are deadlocked. This will likely go on for a few
days and eventually Barak-Clinton and Sha'ara (Syria's Foreign Minister - if
he is still Assad's designated proxy) will emerge looking grim-faced but
resolute. Later Clinton will "save the peace" and will announce the stunning
"breakthrough" and conclusion.
Dear readers, know this: The deal was cut long ago and you were being
deceived by the Shepherdstown show made for the folks back home.
Barak will have lost the Golan Heights, its fortifications and 40% of Israel
's fresh water but, he will say: "I struggled hard for Peace in our time."
Now, Syria will cease terrorism and no longer be a threat. Sure! Syria's
Foreign Minister Sha'ara will go home with the Big Prize so that President
Assad (who will not touch Barak's hand) can say to his people that he has
beaten the Zionist enemy and restored what Syria lost in blood. In addition,
he will tell the Syrian nation that Clinton has promised at least $30
Billion American taxpayers dollars of free money so that Syria will then
have the greatest Army, Navy and Air Force (next to Egypt) in the region.
Clinton will use his best sophomoric expressions to tell the American public
that he alone brought peace, although there is much that remains to be done.
You bet. Slick Willie, long after you leave office, Israel will be back
behind a barbed wire border, forced down from the defensive Heights which
kept the peace with Syria until now. And Syria will never give Israel any of
the water promised, despite pages and pages of agreements.
The purpose of negotiating in this place, Shepherdstown, is because it is
out of the way, 75 miles from Washington, far from the media, hard for
protest groups to get there and stay there for the duration. It's the same
set up as was Camp David and Wye River Plantation: isolate the Israelis from
their experts, the Israeli media, their own people, the American protest
groups . . . etc. At Wye Netanyahu was kept as isolated as possible, making
it extremely difficult for advisors and knowledgeable friends to counter the
pressures to agree to all of Clinton's demands. In this case, however, Barak
is totally compliant as are his team of advisors.
There may be some protestors a mile or two down the road who will try to
tell the media what's going on. But, they have already been called by the
FBI to cool it or be arrested on Federal charges. If you are a Jew and a
law-abiding citizen, as most Jews are, a call from the FBI (or any unnamed
"security" type agency) can be most intimidating which, of course, it's
supposed to be.
As you can see, Barak and Clinton are coordinating this coup. (Watch for a
last minute change of locations in order to deny protestors any opportunity
to state their doubts to the media!)
In Israel Barak is conducting high profile raids to bully everyone who is
even considering protesting Barak's unauthorized and illegal surrender of
the Golan. Illegal because the Golan was annexed by law in the Knesset and
Barak has committed to a public Referendum by the people of Israel regarding
any withdrawal. But, what will such a Referendum mean after Barak, Clinton
and Syria sign an agreement?
Clinton, in hot pursuit of any peace prize, in addition to the anticipated
sale (gift) of perhaps $20-30 Billion in arms to Syria, is pressing hard
here in America. Note that all of this is being done in a frantic rush
before Congress reconvenes in mid January. Congress may not agree to put up
$20-30 Billion American taxpayers' dollars for the Israeli withdrawal and
restructuring of her defenses and another $20-30 Billion for the Syrian
rebuilding of its military (Army ground forces, Navy, Air Force plus
increased missile capability). This is supposed to buy Syria's new loyalty
to America and, hopefully, keep it from joining Iran in taking over the Gulf
oil states. However, because funds were needed for domestic programs,
Congress almost didn't vote the $1.2 Billion dollars for the Wye
withdrawals. Will they now be eager to vote a $100 Billion foreign aid
expenditure which will require cutting programs for Americans?
If Clinton and Barak pull off Israel's evacuation from the Golan, watch for
the next move to put American troops in harm's way on the Golan, at an
additional cost of several Billions of dollars per year. They will
supposedly be needed as a 'buffer' to prevent Syria's next attack against
Israel. But, this may be Clinton's additional ulterior motive - to initiate
a major U.S. military base in the Middle East near the oil fields.
So, the raid on Arutz 7, the negotiations starting January 3rd in
Shepherdstown, W. Virginia, the pressure on Congress to vote what may
eventually amount to as much as $100 Billion American taxpayers' dollars -
all of this together comprises the Clinton-Barak-Syrian maneuver, tied up in
one preplanned package.
What is Barak's motivation? As Chief of Staff and later as deputy Foreign
Minister, he spoke out vehemently against withdrawing from the Golan. Does
he have a huge debt to pay Clinton for buying his election? Maybe.
Clinton, who has stained the White House for eight years desperately wants
history to forget those scandalous years. He will sacrifice anyone - any
nation to obscure those years. Israel is to be that sacrifice.
