Hello, I am a new online subscriber, but have been receiving Bridges in print
for 4 years and am excited about accessing the online list and talking to
other readers. Although I am active in both feminist and jewish activities,
it has been a challenge to access groups/people in baltimore. I am trying to
move to Philadelphia and am looking forward to becoming part of the
progressive jewish community.

I have been involved in jewish women's groups (book groups, rosh chodesh),
but maintaining an active group has been hard. For example, 2 years ago, a
group of us formed the Lesbian and Gay Havaruh of Baltimore. Different
people had different needs, of course. Our group is mostly men and I find
myself attending events just in case another woman shows up. We have tried
to plan women only events, but have not had much sucess. So, I continue to
look for other resources and sources.

I am also in a interfaith relationship and am interested in issues related to
having a jewish home with non jews.

I work in public health policy and program development with a emphasis on
maternal and child health and access to care issues. Am looking very hard
for a job in PHila.

Look forward to talking to all of you in the future.
Marcy Boroff
