How's Dean doing now that it's been a few days? Breaking all the rules? :)

I'm glad we got to see you before we left. 

I'm sorry that we're not still in town to bring you foods. Hopefully we can see you when we are in town for Thanksgiving.

Hi Ellenor,

I'm glad we got to see you too!!!  I still can't believe you guys drove across country with two young children.  Hard core!!!!  I hope it was awesome and that you are settling happily into life in DC.  Dean has been (mostly) very good.  I think it helps that Dave is home right now and able to give lots of undivided attention when Julian is demanding mine.  Also, that newborns sleep a lot, which Dean thinks is hilarious.  Julian is asleep again?  Dean did throw a toy hammer in frustration today, so I'm sure it will get bumpier in the future and then smooth sailing until adolescence, right?
