I'm Solomon Emmanuel Thompson. I'm currently doing my 3rd year of B.E in Computer Science and Engineering. I am super excited to be a part of your organization during this year's GSOC. I am familiar with python, javascript and would like to work on the project "Shaka Player HLS Enhancements ". Could you please give me more details about this project and help me get started on it? Hello Solomon,

The HLS specification specifies the data format of the files. For example, you can see the "identity key format" here. You don't have to read the whole specification, searching for the keyword like "identity" can help you to find the useful section in the specification. 

In our code base, the HlsParser parses the HLS manifest.
