Hi Sam,

I tried to reply to one of your Shady Acres new group posts and was unable to do so.  I was hoping to find out if anyone knows what is going to be built on the NW corner at the intersection of 25th and Couch.  I was wondering if it was going to be a restaurant since there is also a parking lot that has also appeared relatively recently just to the east of Couch and it doesn't appear to belong to any of the existing businesses in the area.  Thanks!

Hi Amy. I believe that parking lot is owned by LA Hacienda on Couch and 26th for overflow and employee parking. I expect townhouses to go on the newly cleared corner.

Amy--

The parking lot on 25, the second lot on the north side of the street,is parking for LaHacienda employee parking.  As far as the lot on the corner is concerned, the framing for one of the builder signs is on the actual lot in question, so my thought would be houses.

There is one of those large wooden signs in the ground...the kind Urban Living puts up at its construction sites advertising the development....but nothing is on it yet. I'm assuming the lot will become more townhouses.  The parking lot on 25th is for the employees of La Hacienda and isn't big enough to accommodate a bar/restaurant since it only has about 30 spaces.

I went to an estate sale at the home previously on the lot and the family said that townhouses were going to be built on the land.

I heard from a friend who works in the energy industry that townhouses are the likely endgame for that piece of property. FYI.
