Session 2 Summary

As usual, here’s a list of NPCs. Last sessions summary will follow.
*NPCs*
*Eenak Darkstaff* – Local talismonger (magic item salesman). Was attempting
to trade a “magic lamp” for Brog’s crystal. Wants the crystal to sell to
“interested parties”. He has offered the PCs substantial monetary reward to
find the crystal.
*Brog* – Cook at the Blinded Basilisk inn. Got the crystal from his former
employer. Was trying to trade crystal for money (or a genie that grants
wishes).
*Squint* (The Kid) – Urchin. Stole the crystal (and the lamp) while Brog and
Eenak were making their transaction. Current whereabouts are unknown.
*Morwyn Oakhorn* – Owner of the Blinded Basilisk Inn. She came into
ownership of the Inn when her father was executed for murdering customers.
Her relationship with her father was, according to Brog “not very close”.
She is currently very unhappy because of her missing child.
*Mela Oakhorn* – Baby. Morwyn’s daughter.Went missing the night before.
*Loleena* – Barmaid at the Blind Basilisk. Lives in an apartment behind the
Pits with her boyfriend, Forlyn. Owes rent money to Najrick
*Gorkys** Brownwood* – Traveling merchant, currently staying at the Blinded
Basilisk. Has many opinions on a variety of topics.
*The Urchins* – Group of pickpockets who live in the main plaza. They know
Squint, but have yet to lead the PC’s to him.
*Najrick Breakwater* – Owner of The Pits, a gladiatorial fighting club.
Vagrants – Weird people who wanted the crystal. Can turn into a swarm of rats
*PEOPLE YOU HAVEN’T MET:*
*Thorm Oakhorn *(Dead) – Former owner of the Blind Basilisk Inn. He gave
Brog the crystal as payment about a month ago. Was executed for murder two
weeks ago.
*Forlyn Adderbrook* – Loleena’s boyfriend. You haven’t met him yet, but
judging from the note found in their apartment, he’s currently being held
for ransom by someone name “Dast”.
Zagomev – Leader of the Vagrants, apparently.
“The Five Out of Shadowport” – Five mages who apparently were responsible for the crystals being enchanted. You know three of their names.
- Maladan (the mad)
- Tyrithion
- Raniel
LAST SESSION
The party, while traveling back towards the Blinded Basilisk, ran into Squint the urchin running from a group of sickly looking vagabonds. The vagrants threatened the party for the crystal, and a fight broke out. The vagrants were knocked out or fled, and the party dragged one of the unconscious vagrants back to Aetava’s offices.
There, through clever uses of rituals and brute force, the party found out the following
- The vagrant works for someone named Zagomev, who lives “below”.
- The crystal was enchanted by five magi who were somewhat famous in Shadowport about half a century ago. Two human men, one human woman, an Eladrin and a Lizardman.
- Apparently the crystals contain the essence of some kind of giant, fleshy, many-eyed (and mouthed) creature.
The party then killed their prisoner and headed towards the tavern.
Upon walking in, Loleena (who was talking to the doorman from The Pits) saw them and fled for a closet, screaming “help me”. This brought on a wave of protective citizenry who began a bar fight. In the process, a toad was summoned, Morwyn was alerted to Loleena’s betrayal (and is now brandishing a kitchen knife), and many punches have been thrown. Loleena has managed to lock herself in the supply closet for the time being...
And so the story continues…
