The September 11th Attack on The World Trade Center resulted in the
loss of many many lives 6 years ago as well as those who have died
since from breathing the dust and debris. I was close by on Bleeker
and saw the windows of the WTC melting like tears, I was there when
the first building had fallen and soon after when the second building
fell. They each disintegrated. There were people in there who could
not have survived I thought. People fled past my window. As I joined
the masses heading away from the disaster, well dressed men in suits
with breifcases all covered in brown from head to toe walked along
side. Death came that day.

Every time I hear of someone on the news being shot and killed or
having done so to someone else, I think of Shabazz. It seems that we
are losing an entire generation of young men in their 20's being
killed on the streets by their peers or others on both sides of the
law, and at war by freindly and enemy fire and all for no good
reason.

For those who are responsible for causing injury and death there is
very little done. Convicted Murderers we see in the News are allowed
to be parolled and allowed back onto the street only to shoot and kill
again. Why? What IS going on?

In the past children lost their fathers to drugs and now they are just
being needlessly killed.

It has got to stop. These deaths are not acceptable.

Every time I turn on the television...
Every time I listen to the radio...
Every time I look at a newspaper...

..and these are only the reported incidences. Most murders go
unreported in the media.

Life is precious, too short and too valuable to be taken so lightly
and in vain.
