You may have heard through various social media etc about the Leicester's only Sikh School (Falcons Primary School -http://www.falconsprimary.org/) has been taken over by a non-Sikh trust.

 This announcement comes just days before the school was set to open.  The future of the school is still not certain.

The DFE have quite deliberately handed over control of a Sikh Ethos school to a group of non-Sikhs called the DISCOVERY TRUST who have effectively wrestled management away from the SIKH led AKAL EDUCATION TRUST.  What a way to end and all the hard work put in by sewadars. A betrayal to the Sikhs of Leicester we fully support the Akaal trust and want our Sikh school. This opportunity will not come again to Leicester Sikhs.

Deceitful

Disguising the guiles of an incompetent complicit principle designate the DFE have refused any communication and contact with concerned Sikh community members and concerned parents.

As a result many Sikh children are without mandatory schooling; many parents have had their dreams shattered by unprofessional and bureaucratic decision making which is bereft of any compassion towards the Sikh and Other faith communities who had applied to the school. The change has left parents unclear as to the future ethos of the school for which they originally signed up for days before their little ones are due to begin.

Solidarity and support

It is for this reason that with a single united voice ; concerned parents and supporters of the school both Sikh and non sikh alike have vowed to make their voice heard and not send their children to any other school apart from a reinstated Sikh Faith School and a representative Sikh Trust.

Join in a collective peaceful protest to show your support against this unjust, unprofessional and bureaucratic decision by the DfE
