This is from the organizing team of Shaastra 2013, the technical festival of IIT Madras in its fourteenth edition. We cordially welcome you to the Opening Ceremony of Shaastra 2013 and IIT Madras Confluence.
“IIT Madras Confluence” is a special initiative of Shaastra 2013 and is scheduled to take place at 5 P.M.on Friday, 4th January 2013 at the IC&SR Main Auditorium and will bring four stalwarts from the fields of research, industry, public policy and entrepreneurship onto one platform - Dr. Jawahar Surisetti, Advisor to the Cabinet Ministry of Education, Dr. Ravishankar Arunachalam, Joint Secretary of AID India, Dr. Praveen Vettiyati, an innovator and a regular TEDx speaker and Mr. Mahesh Moorthy, Vice President at Qualcomm, twenty distinguished alumni of IIT Madras and students together to interact and obtain their unique perspectives on the festival's theme “Ignite the Imagination”. The event will be followed by an exhibition of the Spirit of Engineering projects carried out at the CFI (Centre for Innovation) by IIT-M students and will be a preview of the ones at Shaastra.
